Honoring the Sacred Fires - 20 Days Meditation Retreat

To participate in this retreat you need to have completed at leats five times the Embracing the Sacred Fires Retreat.

"As stillness becomes more and more the natural state, remaining there unperturbed becomes important. Not yet, the natural state, but moving towards that by remaining in the fiery stillness of meditation. A steady dissolution unfolds" Narayana

“When meditation matures, the need to remain longer periods in intensity increases, to burn even deeper sanskars and to be able to remain longer in the presence, the life of meditation.” Narayana

Introduction: Honoring the Sacred Fires - In this stage the Seeker of Truth seeks to honor the life of the Spiritual process by staying longer and longer in the fire of meditation.

Technique: The technique used will be a very effective Kriya Pranayama from the Kriya Yoga tradition. This is the complete Kriya that was already learned in the previous retreat. Here the proposal is to deepen the work of meditation.

Teachings: “Vivekachudamani, the Crest Jewel of Discrimination” is a series of videos where Narayana comments on a famous work by Adi Sankaracharya and it is in accordance with the scriptures. It is Advaita Vedanta and it is for the most advanced seekers, those who are beyond worldly attachments and seek only Liberation. At the end of each day you will watch the videos, which will bring you an understanding of your meditation and spiritual process as a whole.

Format: This is a Silent Meditation Retreat, which means it is in complete silence, it's 20 days long. There will be 10 hours a day of Meditation in the Meditation hall, and daily instructions concerning the technique and the spiritual path. There will be 2 simple vegetarian meals a day, lunch will be the last meal. We advise to take light meals, so that it does not disturb the practice, and we do not allow for complete fasting during the Retreat. In the last day if Narayana is in the ashram, it will be possible to participate in the Satsang where you will be able to clarify doubts of your spiritual path and of your retreat. In the absence of Narayana you can access the videos of his satsangs with the most pertinent questions and answers.

Accommodations: Our Ashram has male and female accommodation, where there are shared rooms 2 to 3 persons according to the size of the room, with shared bathrooms, to be distributed according to our availability. The accommodations are simple, have the basics needed for your stay and are within easy reach of the meditation hall. Their care is the responsibility of each participant.

To whom: This retreat is for those who have attended at least of 5 of the 10 days format of the Embracing the Sacred Fire Meditation Retreat.

Who's sharing: These Retreats are conducted by the Swamis (monks) under Narayana’s Guidance.
